Armenia to continue assisting Afghanistan’s security forces
Armenian delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan has attended the meeting of defense ministers of NATO Resolute Support operational partner nations in Brussels.
During the meeting, the defense ministers reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to assisting with establishment of long-term security and stability in Afghanistan.
The parties agreed that NATO would continue to provide support to Afghanistan’s national security and defense forces in the “training-assistance-consulting” format.
After the meeting Gabriel Balayan had short conversations with his counterparts from NATO member and partner states.
The parties also reaffirmed the permanent relevance of existing cooperation programs in defense in bilateral and multilateral formats.
